THE SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Of the MELVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

OUR PURPOSE:  To make life a bit better for those who need our help.  With your help and the generosity of our members, and individuals faced with challenge.

OUR FOCUS:  Our main focus will be helping those on Long Island, but sometimes tragedy will take us off the Island.

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:  By partnering with the L.I. Chapter of Habitat For Humanity, we were able to help a family in Louisiana,
who were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. 
We purchased a bedroom set for the parents,
a bedroom set for their 8-year old son, and dining room furniture.

The family’s life was uplifted by the help of our Chamber.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

• Participate in the 50/50 raffle at Chamber Events
• Join the Committee – WE NEED MEMBERS
• Do you have gifts in kind to donate?
• Identify people or organizations that need our help
• Donate money
• Respond to our requests…. Help us help others
