The Melville Chamber of Commerce has seven specialized
committees. These committees provide a forum for participants
to collaborate on important business issues, build a productive
network of business-to-business relationships and play a role
in the decision-making of our organization.

| Government Affairs Committee
Chairperson - William J. Lindsay
Goal
To review, study and to advocate
issues affecting our members before Local Government, County
and State elected officials and our National Government. To
communicate our positions and our recommendations.

Program/Special Events Committee
Chairperson - Michael Weisbrod
Goal
The Program Committee is responsible for planning and fundraising
for the Chamber's events ie Trade Show, the Chamber's Choice
Awards (Businesses of the Year) Gala etc.

Membership Services
Committee
Chairperson - Ted Macaluso
Goal
To
promote Chamber membership, educate new members regarding the
benefits of membership, provide members with networking opportunities
and assist with membership recruitment and retention. The committee
also assists the Chamber with Business Before/After Hours, ribbon
cuttings, and groundbreaking ceremonies.

Sales/Marketing/Public
Relations/Website
Committee
Chairperson - Mike Deluise
Goal
Develop
materials, strategies, tools and tactics to market our Chamber.
Also develop sponsorships
and revenue sources to promote the sales and marketing efforts.
Plans the advertising and publicity for the major Chamber events
and the Chamber. The committee will also have the opportunity
to educates others in their field of expertise.

Executive/Planning
Committee
Chairperson - Mark Catapano
Goal
To
formulate and review the Chamber budget,
manage Chamber finances and coordinate all operations
of Chamber staff and Chamber committee activites. This committee
is made up of the officers of the Chamber Board of Directors,
As Officers of the Chamber, the Executive Commitee sets the
agenda for the Chamber's Board of Directors.

Social Action/Not-for Profit
Committee
Goal
To promote the development of Community'Based organization members
through collaberation and promotion of partnerships with both
for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. To develop programs
that will improve our community and help our business members
fulfill its social resposibilities.
